Orchid Wrist Corsage

These stunning orchid corsages would be gorgeous accents for mother of the bride, bridesmaids or a girl attending her first prom!

This deep purple wrist corsage is made with the blooms of the exotic dendrobium orchid. It has a green backing of Italian ruscus. It is easy to make, since these flowers are simply glued to the wrist bracelet with floral adhesive.

The wired stems are wrapped with fine bullion wire that comes in assorted colors.  Simple corsage ribbon is tied in a bow for an elegant finish.

Don't be afraid to use bright, contrasting satin edge ribbon for extra pizzaz!  Both crimped bullion wire and decorative metallic wire are shaped into fun leaves for an updated look.

Don't forget to check out the beautiful assortment of corsage bracelets for a keepsake after the event is over!

Cymbidium orchids are much larger and one bloom is plenty for a wrist corsage. They come in pinks, yellows, whites, and this luscious lime green.

This design is accented with two contrasting colors of sheer ribbon and a little green myrtle.  See a step by step tutorial for making a cymbidium orchid corsage.

Add a loop or two of decorative steel or bear grasses for a clean, simple look. Don't expect a lot of scent with orchids. Lilies are more known for a strong scent.
