Make Boutonnieres

Rose and Freesia

You can make your own boutonnieres unique by following this basic tutorial, yet adding your choice of flowers and colors.  The key to professional designing is found in using the right florist products, using the freshest flowers you can and adding design elements that pump up the WOW!! factor.

Research the flowers you plan to use and make sure that they can hold up to the rigors of being a boutonniere or corsage.  Generally hollow stemmed flowers (gerbera daisies, daffodils, tulips) are very thirsty flowers and tend to wilt quickly, especially during hot months.

There is a matching bouquet tutorial for this boutonniere directions.  Be sure and check it (and all my other tutorials!) out.
