The first two pittosporum leaves I can tape directly in place without wiring.
Simply lay the leaf against the base of the calla head and tape into place, pulling and stretching the tape as you wind it around the stem.
Be careful not to squeeze the calla stem too tightly or you can damage or split it.
I placed two leaves on either side, positioning them where I wanted them before taping in place.
The third leaf, however, needs a longer stem as I want it placed higher behind the flower head.
Place the taped leaf so it is just under the flower head, allowing the flower to still dominate the design.
You can see from the back how the wired stem gives me more control over exactly where I want the leaf to be.
Tape into place with the floral tape.
