How to Make a Corsage

Basic Floral Supplies

There are several basic products that are in all florist's tool boxes.  Shown below are wire cutters, scissors, floral adhesive, a corsage bracelet, Oasis Beaded wire, narrow ribbon and basic floral tape.

The adhesive is designed especially for fresh flowers.  It is a little slower to dry than melt glues, but it won't damage your corsage silicon square and won't damage the flowers.

It holds fast even in refrigerated and moist environments (essential for cut flowers!)

Corsage ribbon is narrower than the wide ribbon used for pew bows.  The width is personal choice, but I like #3 or #5, which is generally between 5/8 inch to 7/8 inches wide.

You'll find that using a ribbon with a filament edge or a wired edge makes a crisp bow than is easier to fluff into a perfect bow.

There are a lot of different kinds of jewels and pearls that add beautiful finishing touches to the final corsage design.
