DIY Boutonniere

Here's another DIY boutonniere tutorial - so easy to do, yet the ultimate elegance with the dusty miller leaves accenting this deep red standard rose.

The extra attention to details (such as  unique greenery or a swirl of accent pearls) is what makes high end flower shops charge high prices for their work.

The DIY bride has it a little more difficult.  Many flower farms offer to sell flowers and greenery at "wholesale" prices (even generously offering free shipping) - but hit the bride with exorbitant prices and require large quantities be purchased.

This makes it hard for brides on a budget to create that unique look for her own wedding flowers.  Who can afford to pay over $100 for leaves  before even buying the roses she will need?  For the average wedding with only a few boutonnieres and corsages, you will need only one or two bunches of Dusty Miller (not ten!)

Out of that - you've still have enough leaves over to accent your bridal and attendant bouquets!

I've added fresh flowers and unique greenery to my own online store and allow DIY brides to mix and match, buying only what she needs for her wedding.  Take advantage of my Wedding Flower Calculator  to figure exactly what you need to order.  This takes the guesswork out of flower ordering and stops wastage.

This gives you the ability to buy the hard goods and fresh flower products that will let you process your bulk flowers properly and buy everything you need in one place.

For this lovely boutonniere, you will need the following products:
