Wedding Flower Petals

Wedding flower petals can be used for more than just flower girl baskets. Toss handfuls to guide guests to the outdoor wedding area, sprinkle them lavishly on table tops, around wedding cakes, or line the edges of your church aisle. They make a lovely statement in the honeymoon suite as well!
The biggest consideration is what kind do you want to purchase - silk, dried, or fresh?
Fresh rose petals have a soft, velvety texture and (with some rose varieties) a lightly wafting scent. The downside is that they can be more expensive,a little slippery on some pathways and (arrggg!!) cause stains on carpeting or tabletops! You must also keep them in cool storage in the days before the wedding.
You can buy fresh from my affiliates in both solid colors and color mixes. One package will give a 3 x 10 foot area a scattered look, or will densely cover a 3 x 5 foot area. One package is needed to provide enough petals for 20 guests to toss as you exit the ceremony or enter the reception.
Silk flower petals can look very realistic - yet avoid the staining possibilities. Although they are not a slippery as fresh petals, you must always be careful when scattering on a hard surface such as a tiled floor.
These are available in my online store in generous 300 petal pacakages.
Freeze dried roses go through a deep cooling treatment that vaporizes all of the moisture out of the petals. These are marvelous for using in outdoor weddings, since they won't have the tendency to curl or wilt in the heat.
These are available in nine vibrant solid colors plus three variety mixes.
Needing to calculate how many petals you will need? Check out the page below for some rough calculations on how many packages cover in square feet, table tops and flower girl baskets.
You'll also find some lovely toss container ideas on this page as well.
