Wedding Day Hair

You should be comfortable with your wedding day hair, even if it's an elaborate updo. You want to look like yourself - so experiment with different styles until you see which one fits your personality.

It is wise to have a "trial run" with the hairdresser of your choice. If you like the way she styles your hair, be sure to book early and find out any extra things she needs to know.

If you plan on wearing a tiara or a rhinestone comb, be sure to take it with you so she can experiment. Same goes for any pearl pins, rhinestone picks and other hair jewelry.

If you plan on free flowers in your hair, choose a type that can hold up to the day. Look into flower picks and sealants that can help keep the blooms looking fresh throughout your wedding day. Consider having "extras" on hand that can be quickly pinned in before your reception.

Decide ahead of time what type of veil you prefer. Will you be wearing it over your face down the aisle or just clipped into the back of an updo? These are all things your hairdresser needs to know.

Hair stylists can create a small pincurl in the back of your hair for a veil comb. Secured with a couple of bobby pins, it can easily be removed and the hair finger combed into the rest of your style if you want to forgo the veil during the reception.
