Towel Wedding Cake

Creating a towel wedding cake is fun to do AND give as a shower gift. Simply fold bath towels in half, pin two together at one end with safety pins and roll tightly. This is your base. Then roll folded washcloths in a similar manner - and then roll THEM into the hand towels. This is the "top" layer of your cake. Now the true fun begins - decorating!

MsAnthea was very creative in creating this spa theme beauty!

You can see she didn't leave a detail undone. Massage brushes, candles, massage oils, lotions . . . and of course - the towels!

Bedecked with pearls and lavish lace, this one looks good enough to eat! This was shared by Surlygirl on Flickr.

Shara Oh created my favorite - chocolate! A lot of imagination went into this lovely set.

I created this towel cake very quickly and finished with GEM pins and triple pearl headed pins by LOMEY. You can see a closer look below.

I like doing this for my bride friends, because I use the pearl pins in their wedding colors. That way they have a gorgeous accent that they can reuse in their bridal bouquet! Several different styles of these design pins are available in my bridal supply store.
