Stephanotis Flower Picks

Bridal Bouquet Design Tutorials

After creating your

stephanotis flower picks,

place them carefully in a container that they can spread out and keep separated. This will help keep the petals of this tiny star-like flower from creasing or becoming bruised.

As a lovely "extra" touch in their bridal bouquet design, florists often cut pearl-headed corsage pins short and insert them into the throats of the flower heads, straight into the rolled cotton pick. This is especially fun when you see the many different colors that Lomey pins come in now!

You can also separate the stephanotis by inserting the wired picks into a small block of florist foam until you are ready to use.

These flowers wilt easily, so be sure to mist throughly with a spray such as Finishing Touch , allow to dry and then keep them in the fridge until put into the bouquet. Finishing Touch will help keep the flower heads hydrating and slow down petal transparency and wilting.

I'll now show you a final step on inserting these gorgeous flowers into a bouquet that has already been prepared with a covering of Stock Flower , which covers up the mechanics of the bouquet and adds a lovely overall fragrance to the entire design.
