Stephanotis Bridal Bouquet

Bridal Bouquet Design Tutorials

This Stephanotis bridal bouquet begins with a bouquet holder already filled in with Stock Flower. I've filled in a base covering, primarily to conceal the mechanics of the bridal bouquet holder, but also because this lovely flower is beautiful and has a delightful scent. Coupled with the heady fragrance of the stephanotis, this bouquet when finished is both beautiful and smells wonderful!

I begin inserting my stephanotis flower picks , keeping them lifted a full flower head above the base of stock flower.

You can see once the bouquet is completely covered in stephanotis that the stock flower recedes and the breathtaking display of these stunning flowers takes over the design.

You can change the look even further by adding in other assorted flowers, as I have here with soft lavender freesia and varigated fuscha miniature carnations.

As always, I finish every bridal bouquet with two important steps. I use Floralock Stem Adhesive squirted in among the flower stems to be sure they are secured firmly in the foam. Do NOT do this step until your design is completely done. Shake the can THROUGHLY, so that the glue will travel thru the nozzle tube without clogging.

I also use Finishing Touch without fail on every bridal bouquet I make. This sealant protects the flower petals, actually sealing them and hydrating them. It also prevents early wilting. It is product like these, and the ones you use when processing your flowers that separate amateurs from professionals.

Aren't YOUR flowers worth this small extra cost?
