Purple Wedding Flowers

Sponsored Links

Purple wedding flowers are hot!! Florigene has been very successful in bring their new purple carnations to the attention of brides everywhere. These beautiful flowers are true shades of purple and are absolutely gorgeous. You will know them by the word "Moon" attached to the name of the carnation. Moonshadow, Moonbeam, Moonvista and more are all easily available to make your wedding awesome! Check out all the varieties at Florigene.com. Just click on the different variety names in the upper left box to see pictures.

Purple Wedding Decorations

You can see by this bride's lavender wedding decorations that she really did want the royal purple color to stand out. Flowers that are "lavender" (such as roses) tend to be more violet (red tint) than purple (blue tint). Mixing lavender roses in with purple wedding flowers is a beautiful contrast. But if you truly want royal purple - then add lisanthus, satic, and carnations.

Purple Wedding Bouquets

I combined purple painted lisanthus, lavender roses and a variety of Florigene purple carnations in both miniature and standard, in this beautiful bouquet.

This bouquet features purple anemones and white sweet peas. (Note that the season for sweet peas is short. You may have to substitute other flowers during your wedding time.)

It is also fun to accent with Lavender Bead Picks as shown.

Using an Oasis Wedding Belle bouquet holder, this nosegay features Florigene Moondust Miniature carnations and a filler flower called Limonium.

This long wedding table decoration is made on a Raquette by Oasis. It is a long block of floral foam shrink wrapped in green polyfilm. It is great because you simple soak and poke. Flower designing doesn't get any easier than this!

Again, I used a variety of purple carnations in this arrangement, as well as lavender daisies, lavender edged alstromeria, lavender roses and purple lisianthus.

If you want to see arrangements in lavender, take a look at Lavender Rose Bouquet and Lavender Wedding Cakes.
