A Pound Bridal Shower is based on the theme that every gift is generally sold by weight (or "by the pound"). It's fun to see the imaginative gifts that your guests can begin to come up with once they make a few quick trips thru a discount store!

Ideas can include flour, sugar, pasta, nails (especially good for them if they are remodeling!), tea, nuts, potting soil and more!



Since these gifts are usually small, this can be the "theme" gift. It is good to encourage the guests to bring the regular, more substantial gifts that they would ordinarily give.



Offer a prize for the most imaginative "pound" gift that is brought to the shower!
