Pomander Bouquet
Step-by-Step Flower Tutorials for Weddings

The first step of this Pomander Bouquet tutorial is to
soak the ball in water treated with flower food.
This may seem trivial, but if you are going to all the trouble of making your own wedding bouquets, why not do it correctly the way a professional florist would? Inexpensive products like these make the flowers stay fresh longer.
This section deals with attaching a bouquet handle to the pomander. You can use ribbon, but I wanted something different and unique. I decided to use
Decorative Wire by Oasis
. It comes in twelve different colors. This 12 Gauge wire is easily molded and can be used to wrap bouquet handles, create gorgeous accents for centerpieces and other decorating projects.

I've
braided two colors of wire together
, creating a lovely (yet strong) two-toned effect. The ends are splayed apart so they can be entwined in the netting of the pomander ball.

Carefully hook the cut ends of the braided wire into the top of the Oasis netted ball.

Using needle nose or other pliers, twist the wire into a loop, pushing the cut in down into the foam.

When finished, no cut wires should be visible.

You should be able to pick the saturated ball up and feel that the handle is securely attached to the ball.

Cut off the extra netting at the top and tuck any extra under the netting on the ball.
