Pictures of a Pink
Gerbera Daisy Wedding

Do you love the idea of a Pink Gerbera Daisy Wedding? You're not alone. Although a Red Rose Wedding Theme is number one, a pink gerbera daisies have to follow as a close second. This perfect daisy is a favorite among brides - especially in pink.

Pink Gerbera Daisy Wedding - A Hand tied Bouquet

Pink gerbera daisies make beautiful bouquets, but need a little extra care if you are making your own homemade bouquet. Hand wire each flower to protect fragile stems. They are very water loving, so be sure to keep hand held bouquets in water or provide a water source such as an OASISĀ® Grande Bouquet holder.

As you can see in this closeup below, I have given these stems extra support with wooden picks and taped wires. Be sure to insert the stems deeply into the OASISĀ® foam.

Here is how the bouquet looked before I added hydrangeas.

Here is how the bouquet looked after roses and hydrangeas were added.

Pink Gerbera Daisy Wedding
Boutonnieres and Corsages

I usually try to talk my brides out of using Gerbera daisies as corsages or boutonnieres. As I said, they are very water loving. See how pretty this boutonniere looked?

Unfortunately, this is how the same boutonniere looked on the groom - even before the wedding! This is why I usually advise to use a pink rose instead!

Pink Gerbera Daisy Reception

Gerberas are a beautiful addition to reception decorating.

Here I wired together two pink gerbera daisies with greens, added a bow in the center. I attached it to a wrist corsage holder and slipped it over the tall cylinder vase. These are beautiful directly on the table or on top of a tall pillar candle stand as shown. Tint the water with pink food coloring (Wilton Cake Decorating has a true pink color) and add a floating candle. Everyone was exclaiming how beautiful these centerpieces were. They were very simple and set up in a very short time!

Pink Gerbera Cake

Here is a picture of a wedding cake decorated with pink Gerbera daisies. I put the daisies in gerbera straws to give them a little extra support on the cake.
