Orange CrocosmiaEasy Instructions for Making Wedding Flowers Orange crocosmia is a delicate, star-like flower grown on a slender stem. I'm using just a few stems in this bridal bouquet because the bride's colors are hot pink and bright orange. I didn't want, however, to overpower her bouquet with too much orange. This little filler flower worked perfectly. I also used it in the
bridesmaid's bouquets
and the groomsmen boutonnieres.
I begin by adding a few sprigs to the lower left. This is where the cascade is eventually going to be inserted from the bottom.
You can see how the crocosmia is beginning to trail over the wire bouquet collar, drawing the eye downward.
I insert one more cymbidium orchid here as well, again overlapping the wire collar.

I also tucked a few sprigs of crocosmia directly under the orchids and nerine lilies. I put some in a small cluster in the upper left of the bouquet as well. You can see how just a hint of orange in the bride's bouquet pulls all the flowers together without overwhelming the bouquet with orange.
