Making Wedding Bouquets

Easy Flower Arranging Tutorials for DIY Brides

Making wedding bouquets is easy with my step-by-step tutorials. Check out my other pages for bridal cascades, corsages, centerpieces and church florals.

This tutorial requires the following supplies:

3 Standard Gerbera Daisies
1

Large Bouquet Holder
2-3 Stems of Leatherleaf Fern
1 stem Seeded Eucalyptus
1 stem Hypericum Berries
4-5 Stems white daisies
2 Stems Dyed Hot Pink Daisies
1 Stem Light blue Delphinium
1 Stem White Waxflower
Finishing Touch Flower Spray
Floralock Stem Adhesive

Begin by greening in the bridal bouquet holder. Leave off the cascade part, since this is going to be a round bouquet.

Insert the Gerbera daisies first, as your focal flowers. Focal flowers are usually larger and draws the eyes to them first by their size and/or color.

Lightly fill in the bouquet with white daisies.

Add in some filler flower. Filler is usually small, mass flowers that "fill in the holes"

Add in a contrasting color - in this case hot pink daisies. These do not come naturally in this color - the wholesaler or flower farm dyes them this bright color.

I added another secondary flower for interest. I chose light blue delphinium.

See how quickly this turns into an attractive bouquet for a very inexpensive cost. This would be perfect for a casual bridal bouquet or as a posy for the bridesmaids.

Finish by locking in the stems with a few squirts of Floralock, then mist the entire bouquet with Finishing Touch.

Keep in a cool (not cold!) refrigerator or in a darkened, cool room until the wedding. If you don't use a self-watering bouquet holder, be sure to check the Oasis. Rewater if necessary to replenish the water the flower drink each day.
