Making a Crescent Bridal Bouquet

Making a crescent bridal bouquet is easier if you break
it down into manageable steps. For this bouquet you will need:

    Grande Oasis Bouquet Holder
    9 White Dendrobium Orchids
    13- 15 White Roses
A few rose or lisianthus buds (not opened)
    4 strands of varigated ivy
    9 Magnolia Leaves
can of Floralock or other floral adhesive

Step 1: Insert Magnolia Leaves into the Bouquet Holder

Step 2: Begin by Inserting Focal Flowers

Use the two largest, most open roses you have as focal flowers.

Step 3: Add Secondary Flowers

Beginning from the inside, begin inserting your secondary roses in a circular pattern. Begin by facing your roses forward, and tilting them more outward as you move towards the outer diameter of the bouquet. Don't be perfect in your pattern - you want more of an oval shape than round. Also vary the depth of the roses for more interest and texture.

Step 4: Fill in Hole with Rose Buds or Lisianthus Buds

On the outer rim, finish by inserting a few tight rosebuds or lisianthus buds. Insert some short cut stems of dendrobium orchids. Tuck a few here or there in the bouquet where there are open spots.

Step 5: Insert White Dendrobium Orchids

These are the flowers that determine the width and length of your bouquet. For extra "staying power", you can wire the cut ends to Cowee picks, which will insert into the foam easily and swell - tightening the grip on the foam.

Insert the stems following the pattern shown in bold lines above.

Step 6:

Secure all stems with floral adhesive. I use a can of FloraLock - which comes with a long straw and inserts easily deep into the bouquet, securing stems with a small squirt.

Note: I cannot ship Floralock BY AIR BECAUSE OF RESTRICTIONS. Order in plenty of time to receive by truck.

It's amazing how quickly you can put together a bouquet worth hundreds of dollars with a few quick instructions!
