Make Wedding Favors

Make wedding favors by wrapping Hershey bars with decorative paper. It's fast and easy and fun to be a little creative. I purchased the paper for this demonstration from the Arts and Crafts section of a local discount store. You can find a large variety of colors and patterns in the Scrapbooking section. You can also find a large selection in printed computer paper in a store like Office Depot.
These are easy to make and you can even coordinate other items such as
wedding bubbles
.
Choose a pattern that you like. You may have to measure and cut to the right length. The paper should overlap when wrapped around the Hershey bar.
You can use cool melt glue or a rolling glue dot dispenser like shown below. (Find these in the scrapbooking section. They are generally used to attach photographs and they hold very well.) Don't use a hot glue gun or you may melt the chocolate.
You can finish by wrapping with a
decorative ribbon
and attaching a
favor tag
with a
poem or saying
. I used a thin gold wire and attached a single decorative bead to the front of this one.
You can order customized Hershey wrappers that are personalized with your names, wedding date and other information. These are available in both the standard sized candy bars and the miniatures. Find out more information by clicking on the green "info" button below.
If you don't want to use chocolate bars, you can make wedding favors using
favor tins
,
unique favor boxes
or
party bags
and filling them with
novelty candies.
With a little time and effort, you can make your own wedding favors that you will be proud to display on your reception tables!
