Hydrangea Wedding Flowers

Hydrangea wedding flowers come forth in full bloom . . . especially at Spring Weddings. Although hydrangeas are available at different times of the year, your best best is at a spring wedding when the season is in and the price is right!
Hydrangea Wedding Bouquet
I have put hydrangeas in OASIS foam bouquet holders. I usually recommend, however, they are a natural as a hand-tied wedding bouquet. Hydrangeas are very water loving and can wilt easily when not in water. I always recommend that you throughly mist the hydrangea blossoms with Crowning Glory so they will stay fresh during your wedding day.You only need three white stems to make the beautiful white hydrangea wedding bouquet like the one below.

Hydrangeas also mix in nicely with other flowers. They come in a wide variety of colors, as you can see by the lavender, pink and white bouquets below.

Hydrangeas in Ceremony Flowers
I love putting hydrangeas in large church floral arrangements. It takes a big mass of flowers to make an impact in church wedding decorations because the people look at them from so far away. These make a marvelous bouquet with the height from gladiolus and the hydrangeas tucked close down to the base of the container.

This pink and green bouquet of hydrangeas and pink roses was a big hit with the happy bride. The hydrangeas came in absolutely breathtaking! These were some of the roses I bought from
RoseSource.com
and I fell in love with them. They were called "Anna" and opened to a full gorgeous rose!

Blue Hydrangea Wedding Cake
Hydrangeas wedding flowers are large and look well massed between layers of a wedding cake. This blue hydrangea wedding cake needed no other embellishments - the hydrangea blossoms were beautiful all by themselves!

Do It Yourself flowers can save quite a bit of money for any bride and groom. The difficulty is not in finding the labor (think of those great friends and family helping out!) but finding the supplies.
Check out my store for the floral supply products you need. Bouquet holders and collars, Oasis florist foam, invitations, car decorating kits and much more. When you order fresh hydrangeas, expect them to need some "opening time". They will look tight at first - but open into large, beautiful blooms. Want to buy straight from the farm? Check out

Be sure to ORDER YOUR HYDRANGEA WEDDING FLOWERS EARLY!! It is so important to connect with your flower farms and reserve what you need in plenty of time for the growers to fill. I give my wholesaler at least a month notice to be sure the flowers for my weddings are perfect and what my bride wants.
