Carnation Boutonnieres

Carnation boutonnieres can come in a great many different colors and varieties - the newest colors of true purple are very lovely. This economical flower makes up prettily into a very nice buttonhole flower.

You can use rhinestones and decorative wire for imaginative ways to enhance this boutonniere.

Carnations are long lasting and are one flower that does hold up well, even without a water source.

You can create more texture and different looks by combining them with other flowers.

Since the carnations are large, it's generally best to pick a smaller headed flower, such as this mum, to pair it with.
