You can add extra interest to the floral design by folding some of the leaves over and taping them into place over the tip of the leaf.
I like to keep the tape very tight. A newer product, BindTape also works well for this application.
I want some of the leaves higher on the back of the bouquet, yet I don't want to tape higher. At this point you can add a stem to the leaf by either using a wooden stake or a heavy wire.
Tape completely down the stem to conceal the artificial stem.
You can cut off excess later with wire cutters. This works for botht the wood stake or the wire, whichever you use. If you use wire, I suggest a stiffer, thicker gauge such as Gauge 18.
